A Visual Dialogue
Artist-Curator-Community Producer.
Kim Chin seeks to inspire compassion towards people and the planet by celebrating cross-cultural influence through the intersection of the arts and social justice practice.
By interpreting traditional mediums in a contemporary way, Kim employs a combination visual arts processes with the intent of minimising material waste with maximum effect. Kim’s practice embodies methods of decolonisation, how to live well with differences, and creates pockets of community to support each other. These occur in creative educational, art and community-focused events and are practised daily.

To celebrate the London Festival of Architecture (LFA), the Migration Museum is hosting The Places That Make Us - a day festival of events on 10 June from 11am-4pm. I am excited to co-host a public workshop with museum staff by collating neighbourhood memories into our Lewisham Memory Map.

x Birdsong
Birdsong amplifies the voices and stories of women and nonbinary creatives of colour through our limited-edition artist collaborations. We will highlight six trailblazing women or non-binary creatives a year; each collaboration will only be available for two months. They are designed by the community. Made by the community. For our community.
I am excited to kick off the refresh of Birdsong’s new model of working during Fashion Revolution Week and Earth Day.
