ESEA Sisters presents

JOYRIDE

Since March 2021, ESEA Sisters have been creating a community where women, transgender, non-binary and genderqueer people of East and South East Asian heritage can come together, connect, heal, educate and empower themselves and others, to live authentically and fully.

JOYRIDE is the latest offering from ESEA Sisters. It was hosted at the Southbank Centre in Ocober 2022.

Performances showcased talent from East and South East Asian individuals - movement art to martial art, dancers to comedians, jazz to spoken word. The night created space for exploration into collective joy, expressing how love, humour, movement, and ancestral wisdom can create connection within the everyday.

This opportunity was made possible by musician Lucinda Chua, and producer Tiger Hagino Reid as part of the Purcell Room Music Sessions.
